About Bowman and Howley

M. Elizabeth Bowman

Is a member of the firm of Bowman & Howley. She practiced with Gerry Metzger for several years, handling construction litigation, along with her own full time practice handling general civil, corporate and criminal cases. She and Ms. Howley formed Bowman & Howley together in 2002. Ms. Bowman handles a variety of cases including successions, wills and estates, real estate litigation, personal injury, family law, contractor litigation and products liability litigation.

She received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana Scholars College at Northwester State University in Natchitoches in 1991, and her law degree from Loyola Law School in New Orleans in 1994. She teaches professionalism for the LSBA, and is actively involved in the community, doing volunteer work yearly with various civic organizations.



Christy M. Howley Connois

Is a member of the firm of Bowman & Howley. She has a general civil, corporate and criminal practice, primarily in the areas of family law, personal injury, successions including wills and estates, corporate defense, and both felony and misdemeanor criminal representation.

She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association's House of Delegates, and a member of the LSBA's Committee on the Profession. She was also named (in a tie for first place) as Best Attorney in Jefferson Parish in 2010 by Jefferson Life Magazine. She teaches professionalism at Loyola and Tulane Law Schools via the first and third year law student programs, and for the LSBA. She received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University in 1990 and her law degree from Loyola Law School in New Orleans in 1994.



All attorneys are licensed to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal Courts and have extensive litigation experience. Both have also tried a number of jury and judge cases in Orleans, Jefferson, and the surrounding parishes and have participated in numerous arbitrations and mediations.
